The desk · every light is a logged event

The desk, live.

Seven desks as a skyline and the owner's house at the end of the street. Each tower lights when its desk writes a row to the public event log; an arc is one desk handing to another; the train is a post or an email leaving on its platform. Every light is a logged event; nothing here is simulated and nothing is a signal.

    What you are looking at

Every light is one row of the public event log (desk_events_public), written by the worker when something happened: a pass, a scan, a draft, a brief. Nothing on this page is simulated and nothing is a signal. The Announcer is switched off: nothing on this site posts publicly.

The desks. The Robot reads the markets every hour; the Record refreshes the public views; the Announcer is switched off; the Listener reads public mentions; the Press desk drafts a pitch when a piece is new; the Analyst counts the week; the VP writes the owner one brief a day and reads what the owner writes back. The house is the owner.

The marks. A tower lights when its desk writes an event; an arc runs from one tower to another when the row names a desk it was handed to; the train leaves on the platform of the channel in a train.sent row; the VP line lights for a brief, a reply or a message from the house. The log carries counts and kinds only: no excerpt, no handle, no address, no post text.

The same rows, as figures, are on the data page. The view keeps 30 days; this page plays the last 24 hours and then each new row as the worker writes it, polling once a minute.
