The owner's desk

The VP, in writing.

The daily brief, the decisions waiting on you, a box to write back, what the Listener found and what the Press desk drafted. The VP reads this page's messages on its next hourly pass; nothing here goes anywhere public.

The latest brief

Open decisions

A button writes one command to the VP; it applies it on the next pass, within the hour, and the card leaves this list then.

A message to the VP

What the VP understands
approve <id> a press decision: the draft is marked approved and you send the pitch yourself; a switch decision: the desk is paused
skip <id> any open decision: skipped; its draft or item is marked skipped too
handled <id> a listener decision: handled, and the item with it
pause <desk> listener, press or analyst: paused until resumed
resume <desk> listener, press or analyst: running again
status a reply with the brief's first lines, nothing sent by email

Anything else is stored and echoed in the next brief as noted, not an instruction.

What the Listener found

Public mentions, newest first, up to 100 that are not yet handled; sports posts are in the Sports radar below. Nothing is replied to from here; the answer page is the link to send by hand, if at all.

Sports radar

What the Listener heard about games, measured against Kalshi's own board: posts by sport, the games with the most chatter and the prices Kalshi showed, the sides posts named against how the games settled, and the accounts that read as automated (another desk's template, their own bot or website-mirror label, or their posts a day). Posts are counted here, never quoted or answered; the brief carries the same numbers.

Price paths

Kalshi's hourly line for every settled game, from 74 hours before the start to 3 after, kept for good and shown only here: hourly prices and contracts traded are Kalshi's data. The start is the one Kalshi lists for the game in its own schedule wherever it lists one, else the start the desk used: a game's path waits until the late-start check has judged the game, and a path whose start is not the one Kalshi now lists is fetched again on it. The checks come first: how much of each path has a price, how much was carried over an hour Kalshi sent no candle for, how far the path sits from the desk's own line at the hour the desk read it, the games whose line the desk read at or after the start, and the games whose market settled too soon after the start. Definitions v1, dated 2026-10-13, are in DEPLOY.md under "Price paths".

Study FAV-01: college football favourites at 80c or more

Registered 2026-10-14 (RESEARCH_2026-10-14_ncaaf_favourites.md), before any of these games was played: does the favourite priced at 80c or more at the desk's line win less often than its price says? The measure is the underdog's return per contract at its own line ask after Kalshi's taker fee, over the games the record grades (settled home or away, the start used not late) whose line the desk read from 2026-10-15 00:00 UTC on, dated 2026-10-15 to 2026-12-06. The games the rule was found on count for nothing here. This page shows the running figures; the interval and the verdict come from python agents/study_fav.py on the first read, 2026-12-07 or once 200 games are in, by the rule the registration fixed (HOLDS when the resampled 95% interval sits above zero; FAILS when it does not with 200 games; UNDECIDED with fewer). Nothing here is public and nothing trades.

Press drafts

A pitch and a summary per new piece, for you to send by hand if you choose. The desk sends nothing.

Switches

The VP's pauses. A desk's flag on Railway still rules: a desk switched off there does not run, paused or not.
